Azhar Canada College teaches the curriculum of Al-Azhar University: each science in sequence, each text with a teacher. Two programs, full time and part time, are built around that same approach.

Full time

Diploma in Islamic Sciences

Sisters only

A structured, sequenced diploma for sisters studying full time, moving through Arabic, Tafsir, Hadith, and Fiqh in order, with a live teacher at every step.

  • Monday to Friday, 9 am to 1:30 pm
  • Online or in person
  • Courses taught: Arabic, Tafsir, Hadith, and Fiqh
  • Students can also study individual courses without committing to the full course load.

Part time

Diploma - Intro to Islamic Sciences

Open to everyone, no prerequisite

A welcoming, practical introduction to the Islamic sciences. You do not need a background in Islamic studies, and each course stands on its own.

  • 1 lecture per week, 1.5 hours
  • Each course runs 5 weeks (5 lectures), ending with an online multiple-choice exam
  • Courses taught: Aqeedah, Tafsir of the last ten surahs, the sciences of Hadith, Quranic sciences, Sharia and contemporary times, and Fiqh
  • Attend online, in person, or a hybrid of both.
