Questions people ask before they register
Common questions about studying at Azhar Canada College. If yours isn't answered here, get in touch.
Do I need to know Arabic to take a part-time course?
No. Understanding Arabic is not required. Key terms are explained clearly in English.
Is a part-time course only for advanced students?
No. A part-time course is for the everyday Muslim who wants to learn more about their religion, whether that's a working professional, a student, a parent, or anyone looking for a solid foundation in the Islamic sciences.
Why take a course instead of just reading a book?
Books are valuable, but a qualified instructor who can answer your specific questions and walk you through real situations is worth more. Our courses focus on real engagement between students and teachers.
Can I attend online?
Yes. You can attend online or in person, and we also offer a hybrid option to fit your schedule.
How do I register?
On the college's student portal. Accounts, payment and course access all live there, and you create your login when you register.
Where are classes held?
In person at our centre, 6185 Tomken Rd, Unit 8, Mississauga, ON L5T 1X6, or live online from anywhere in Canada.
Is there a full-time option?
Yes. The Diploma in Islamic Sciences is a full-time program for sisters only. It runs on weekday mornings, online or in person.
